Dianavar 10
Methandienone 10mg tablets. Fast-acting oral anabolic steroid with pronounced nitrogen retention and protein synthesis upregulation.
Dianavar 10
Dianavar 10 is a pharmaceutical tablet formulation of Methandienone (Methandrostenolone) — historically marketed under the trade name Dianabol — at 10 milligrams per tablet. Methandienone is a 17-alpha alkylated oral anabolic steroid derived from testosterone, distinguished by rapid onset of action and pronounced anabolic effect on skeletal muscle. It was one of the first synthetic anabolic steroids synthesized for clinical use.
Structural Profile
Methandienone is a 17-alpha methylated, delta-1-dehydrogenated derivative of testosterone. The 17-alpha methyl group confers oral bioavailability by resisting first-pass hepatic metabolism at the 17-beta position. The delta-1 (1,2-double bond) modification reduces androgenic potency relative to testosterone while preserving anabolic activity, producing an anabolic-to-androgenic ratio of approximately 90–210:40–60 (vs testosterone 100:100). Despite the delta-1 modification, methandienone retains significant aromatase substrate activity, producing measurable conversion to the potent estrogen methylestradiol.
Pharmacokinetic Profile
Oral bioavailability of methandienone is approximately 85–95% owing to the 17-alpha methyl group. Peak plasma concentrations are achieved within 1–3 hours of administration. The elimination half-life is short at 4–6 hours, necessitating multiple daily doses to maintain stable plasma levels. Hepatic first-pass metabolism generates several active and inactive metabolites; principal urinary metabolites include 17-epimethandienone and 6-beta-hydroxylated derivatives. Plasma protein binding is low (~40%), contributing to a high free fraction.
Mechanism of Action
Free methandienone binds the androgen receptor (AR) with moderate affinity, initiating AR nuclear translocation and androgen-response element (ARE) transcriptional activation. Primary anabolic effects include enhanced nitrogen retention, accelerated protein synthesis, increased glycogenolysis, and augmented satellite cell activation in skeletal muscle. Conversion to methylestradiol via aromatase produces secondary estrogenic effects including water retention and potential gynecomastia at higher exposures, which may require co-administration of an aromatase inhibitor.
Hepatotoxicity Profile
The 17-alpha methyl group renders methandienone resistant to hepatic catabolism at C-17, which also makes it a hepatotoxic compound. Oral methandienone produces dose-dependent elevations in serum aminotransferases (ALT, AST) and is associated with peliosis hepatis and cholestasis at high doses or prolonged use. Liver function monitoring is recommended during administration cycles.
Formulation
Each Dianavar 10 tablet contains 10 mg Methandienone USP as active ingredient, with pharmaceutical excipients including microcrystalline cellulose, maize starch, povidone K30, and magnesium stearate. Manufactured to USP specification under GMP conditions. Release testing includes HPLC concentration verification (specification: 95–105% of label claim), HPLC purity assay (specification: ≥98%), dissolution profile testing, and complete microbiological limit testing per USP guidelines.
Quality Assurance
Every batch of Dianavar 10 produced by Biomedica undergoes the complete pharmaceutical release testing protocol before distribution. This includes HPLC compound identity confirmation and purity analysis (specification: ≥98%), concentration verification (specification: ±5% of label claim), sterility testing per USP <71>, bacterial endotoxin quantification by LAL assay (specification: <0.25 EU/mL), and particulate matter inspection per USP <788>. A Certificate of Analysis is issued for every production lot.
Authentication
Each unit of Dianavar 10 carries a unique authentication code on its outer packaging. This code can be verified instantly on our Authentication page to confirm the product is genuine Biomedica stock.
